For 2009, the infamous Church Farm Haunted Hay Ride has expanded into Scareshow, the Wirral's haunted festival. You'll still get your Hay Ride, but your tickets also include:

The terrifying Creepy Cottage (FRIGHT and FEAR rides only)
The all-new twists and turns of the Nightmare Circus (FRIGHT and FEAR rides only)
Spooks galore in the Boo Barn (FUN rides only)
Fun and frolics on the Farm Attractions (FUN rides only)

It’s fun by day, fright by night down on the farm. There’s something for every age, from small children to scare-seeking terror-hungry adults. On with the show……

Expect storytelling, jolly witches and friendly ghosts.

Expect monsters, darkness, small spaces and spooks.

For smaller children, FUN rides are during the day and not too scary at all.

You’ll travel round the farm on the tractor and trailer and meet jolly witches and silly scarecrows. Then wander round the Boo Barn and chuckle at the creatures inside.

Your FUN ticket includes the Hay Ride, entry to the Boo Barn, plus all the fun Farm Attractions like the sandpit, play area and animal trail.

Whoooo… For those children who want to be scared.

FRIGHT rides are early evening and include a Haunted Hay Ride, entry to the Creepy Cottage and the Nightmare Circus.

On your Hay Ride, you’ll leave the safety of the tractor and trailer and walk through the haunted forest. Meet the horrible inhabitants, who’d like to do you harm in a whole variety of interesting ways.

Now you’re talking. In the dead of night, no holds barred, serious scaring for adults and very brave children.

On your Haunted Hay Ride, you’ll walk through the haunted forest. Expect thrills, intense shocks, scenes of terror and nightmarish visions.

FEAR rides are later on in the evening and include entry to the Creepy Cottage and new Nightmare Circus.
