Q. Do I need to book?

A. All tickets must be pre-booked and are available around the start of November each year. To receive a reminder email please subscribe to our mailing list.

Q. How does the ride time work?

A. You will be booked into a specific ride time. The ride time you book will be the time the trailer leaves the boarding area. If you're late you will not be allowed to ride so please arrive at least 15 mins before your booked ride departure time.

Q. Are there any group discounts?

A. Due to the high demand for tickets we are not able to offer any group or charity discounts on this ride. You can save money by booking online where discounts already apply.

Special days are available for school and playgroups- see the seperate info page for this.

Q. Do we need to pay for children under 1 year old?

A. Children under 1 year old will be admitted on the ride free of charge providing they do not occupy a seat on the trailer. This means that children must be carried or sit on the knee of accompanying adults. Please note that the forest paths may not be suitable for prams and we therefore recommend that young children are carried on the tractor ride too. Under 1's will not usually receive a gift.

Q. When will my tickets arrive?

A. Tickets booked online or over the phone are retained for collection before your booked ride time. They will not be posted out to you. Please try to arrive about 15 minutes before your ride departure time so you can collect your tickets and be ready for the ride to depart at the booked time.

Q. How many people are permitted per ride?

A. Each trailer holds 32 people and this is the maximum number of tickets that can be booked on any ride. To book an entire ride please book 32 tickets on one ride time using usual booking methods.

Q. How long does the ride last?

A. Each ride lasts around 40 minutes. There are also other attractions throughout each day which you can try. Ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your allocated ride slot time. Please leave extra time for queuing during busy periods.

Q. Why do we need to pay for adults?

A. Adults will enjoy the experience as much as the children. Adults will also receive some mulled wine and a mince pie in the forest.

Q. What should we wear?

A. Many people choose to wear costumes which really adds to the atmosphere. The trailers and waiting areas are covered but still ensure you are wearing warm clothing and suitable footwear.

Q. What refreshments will be available?

A. For day rides the coffee shop will be available until 5pm for usual service. On night rides from 5.00pm the coffee shop will be closed but light refreshments will be available to purchase throughout each evening.

Q. Is it possible to book a ride for a childrens' party?

A. It is possible to book tickets as a party but you will not be allowed to use the usual public eating area as it inconveniences other guests. A seperate eating area is available to book - please contact us if you would like to do this.
